Located on the biggest island of the Mitsio archipelago, Grande Mitsio. This Madagascar fishing lodge is situated at the end of the bay of Maribe, the largest and most sheltered of the archipelago, at a place called "Miadana". The camp is made up of several bungalows, whose architecture is inspired by that of traditional Malagasy wooden huts.
The lodge is really just a base for some extreme fishing but the rooms are well appointed bordering on luxurious. The packages are on a fully inclusive basis which includes up to 10 hours of fishing everyday! Their kitchen produces delicious food (most often your catch of the day!). There are bungalows as well as a villa for larger groups.
The boats each have their own skipper and crew who are highly experienced and knowledgeable and, whilst you can bring your own gear, has an excellent selection of well maintained equipment for hire.
Equipment for hire includes:
Rods: Daïwa, Sakura
Reels: Daïwa Saltiga and Catalina, Shimano Sphéros and Stella.
Line: Powerline, Sakura, Varivas, YGK etc
Offshore trolling equipment (stand up rods and reels 50 lbs to 80 lbs with adapted lines and harness), specifically designed for marlin and other large fish, are provided and included in the services without supplements .
